Fintech R&Rโ๏ธ๐: Quick Reminder & Webpage Update
Hey Fintechers and Fintech newbies ๐๐ฝ
Just a quick reminder that normal service actually resumes next Friday and weโre back with a bang.
In the meantime, I wanted to draw your attention to a little change Iโve made to the Fintech R&R webpage.
Iโve added two new sections to the webpage where all editions of Fintech R&R reside, which filter Under the Hood and Product Development specific editions. The Home page will still contain all editions, with the newest at the top, but these separate sections make it easier to jump to specific themes such as the Under the Hood deep dives, which there will be more of this year, and Product Development, which has writes up relevant for those designing, building, launching and scaling financial services products.
There will likely be a couple of additional headers to follow including one specific to Fridays topicโฆEntering a new phase of UK Open Banking.
Because of course Iโm including a little sneak preview of what Iโm covering next Friday.
Itโs the flurry of news, partnership announcements and โ6 years onโ reviews that have got me thinking a bit more broadly about the evolution of UK Open Banking since PSD2 triggered the formal creation of the framework and resulting APIs.
Iโm now looking at the UKโs Open Banking evolution over the past 6-8 years as distinct phases and I think weโre currently in a new transitional era which is what Iโll dive into in more detail next week so keep an eye on your inbox.
It will also include a reference to Zoolander, my contribution to the Future of Payments report published late last year, what newer international Open Banking proposals can learn from the UKโs evolution, and why changing consumer payments habits is one of the hardest nuts to crack.
All that and more next week.
If you have some time between now and next Friday, follow me on LinkedIn and share this newsletter with a friend or colleague.
Have a great week ๐๐ฝ
